What is STEM?
Stem is a way to help students understand how the academic disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics impact their world and prepare them for the workforce of tomorrow. As part of our curriculum we will doing a week of STEM activities at school. These activities require lots of hands-on materials. If you are able to donate any of the following items we would really appreciate that. We will be doing one activity each day this week.
- Pipe cleaners
- Empty, clean plastic bottles with a lid (water, soda, any bottle)
- Empty toilet paper rolls
- Popsicle sticks
- Popcorn kernels
- Microwave popcorn
- 2 liters of Sprite and Diet Coke
- Mentos candy
- Bottles of Hawaiian Punch and flavor
- Clear solo brand plastic cups
- Any other “trash” for building and construction
